About the Client:
- Our client, specialists in the Fire and Security industry, are seeking a hardworking and passionate Fire and Security Engineer based around the South East area to join their site based team on a permanent basis.
The Role:
- Service & Maintenance of Fire and Security systems in accordance with relevant standards and company guidelines.
- Co-ordinate, and monitor the performance of, specialist maintenance 3rd party contractors
- To maintain adequate records and documentation to ensure continued compliance would meet statutory and corporate obligations
- Oversee major and minor works projects to completion when said projects encroach on site fire alarm systems and their operation
- Assist EH&S Fire Advisors with Factory Mutual Insurance surveys, and audits when required
- To demonstrate self-motivation in suggesting and implementing improvements to site operating mechanisms and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and communicate any additional actions required to line management.
- Return necessary paperwork to Administration team or Manager as required.
- Comply with policies relating to Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Technical Compliance issues that affect the customer and employees.
- Ensure all relevant engineering practices are adhered to.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the Company Safety Manual.
- Maintain company issued equipment in good order.
- Ensure good timekeeping and housekeeping.
- Develop and maintain effective Client relationship and assist in gaining future work for the Company.
Qualities Required:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working on Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, CCTV, Intruder, Access Control.
- Ability to prepare estimates / quotations as required.
- Developing of relationships with all clients and potential new customers
- Proven ability to install, test, commission and service Fire Alarm Systems CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, & Must be able to communicate with both external and internal customers in a professional and consistent manner.
- MUST have a formal qualification such as Electrical Installation, FIA’s, BAFE etc.
